Terms of Service

List Vault Data ("List Vault Data", "we", "us") operates this website and sells compiled business and organization datasets. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the site and any purchase you make through it. By using the site, you agree to these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. Browsing the catalog and downloading free samples requires no account. If you create an account, you are responsible for the accuracy of your details, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, our license terms, or that we reasonably believe is being used to resell or redistribute our data.

Record counts, coverage figures, field availability and quality labels shown on the site are good-faith estimates that change as we add, verify and retire records. The count shown when you build a list is a live query result at that moment; the file you receive reflects the records that qualify at the time of fulfillment, which may differ slightly.

Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change at any time, but the price shown at checkout is the price you pay for that order. Custom lists are priced per record with a minimum order value, and are never priced above the full-file price for the same dataset.

Payment is by card and is processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card details. By submitting an order you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.

An order is accepted when payment is confirmed and your file is generated. We may decline or cancel any order — including one where payment cannot be processed, where we suspect fraud, or where we believe the buyer intends to resell the data — and will refund any amount taken for a cancelled order.

All products are digital. Files are delivered as downloadable CSVs through a secure, time-limited link shown on your order page and emailed to you. Delivery, re-download and refund details are set out in our Refund & Delivery policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Your rights in any purchased file are governed by our Data License Agreement. In short: the license is limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable, is for your own marketing, outreach and research, and does not permit resale, redistribution, or use in building a competing directory or data product. You are responsible for complying with the marketing and privacy laws that apply to your campaigns.

You agree not to:

• scrape, crawl, harvest or use automated tools to extract content, record counts or listings from the site;
• attempt to access data, files, accounts or administrative areas you are not authorized to access;
• circumvent rate limits, download limits, paywalls or sample restrictions;
• probe, overload or interfere with the site's operation or security;
• submit false information at checkout or on any form; or
• use the site or its data for unlawful, deceptive, harassing or abusive purposes.

The site, its design, copy, structure, dataset compilations, grading systems and verification methods are owned by List Vault Data and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any of it to you.

We rely on third-party providers for payments, hosting, email delivery and analytics. Their availability and practices are outside our control, and their handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy.

The site and all data are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and accuracy. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, nor any particular campaign result, response rate or return on your use of our data.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, List Vault Data will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunity, arising from your use of the site or any data. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless List Vault Data from any claims, damages, losses, fines and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the site or purchased data, your marketing activity, or your breach of these Terms or the Data License Agreement.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Michigan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you consent to that venue. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the matter in good faith.

We may update these Terms as the business evolves. The current version always appears on this page with its last-updated date, and the version in effect at the time of your order governs that order. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept it.
